Types of Beer Filtration Solutions Offered by Graver Technologies

Our collection features the following beer membrane filtration products:

  • QMC™ Series Filter Cartridges (High Efficiency Polypropylene Filter Cartridge): The QMC™ Series is a nominally rated polypropylene depth filter with 95% removal efficiency, available in a range of 0.1 to 10 microns. This beer brewing filter excels in general-purpose filtration, capturing yeast, hop particles, and other solids during clarification. Its multi-layer pleated construction maximizes dirt-holding capacity, reducing maintenance frequency. The QMC™ is ideal for pre-filtration to protect downstream beer membrane filtration systems, ensuring extended service life. All materials comply with FDA regulations for food and beverage contact, making it suitable for commercial beer filtration solutions. Its versatility makes it a preferred choice for breweries seeking cost-effective depth beer filters.
  • TefTEC™ Series Filter Cartridges (Absolute Rated PTFE Membrane Filter Cartridges): The TefTEC™ Series features hydrophobic PTFE membranes designed for gas and air filtration, particularly in tank venting and CO2 filtration. These beer inline filters offer absolute retention at 0.2 or 0.45 microns, ensuring microbial and particle control for compressed air and venting applications. Withstanding at least 100 steam/autoclave cycles at 275°F (135°C), they are durable for repeated sanitization. Produced in an ISO Class 7 cleanroom and 100% integrity tested, TefTEC™ cartridges ensure reliable performance. Their high flow rates and low pressure drop make them ideal for maintaining air quality in brewing filtration processes without compromising efficiency.
  • ZTEC™ WB Series Filter Cartridges (Pleated Polyethersulfone (PES) Membrane for Critical Filtration): The ZTEC™ WB Series utilizes an absolute-rated, hydrophilic PES membrane with pore sizes from 0.2 to 0.65 microns, designed for critical filtration in beer production. These beer membrane filter cartridges provide high retention efficiency for bacteria and yeast, ensuring microbial stabilization before bottling. Manufactured in  a cleanroom, they are 100% flushed with ultrapure DI water and integrity tested for consistent performance. With low protein adsorption, they preserve beer flavor and aroma. The ZTEC™ WB is ideal for commercial beer filters, offering extended service life and compliance with FDA and European food contact regulations.
  • ZTEC™ SLWB Series Filter Cartridges (Serial layer Pleated Polyethersulfone (PES) Membrane): ZTEC SLWB cartridge filters use a dual-layer TECpore polyethersulfone membrane to prevent beverage spoilage by removing microorganisms and particles. These filters are highly efficient, long-lasting, and are used to clarify beer, wine, and bottled water. The TECpore PES membrane is available in 0.2, 0.45, and 0.65 μm pore sizes. The filters are manufactured in a cleanroom and are tested for integrity to ensure consistent performance.

Key Features of Beer Membrane Filtration Systems

Below are the key features, each designed to address specific filtration challenges in brewing.

  • Particulate Removal from Incoming Water Streams: The beer brewing filter systems effectively remove suspended solids, sediments, and fine particulates from incoming water streams. This ensures that water used in brewing is free from contaminants that could affect flavor or clarity. The high dirt-holding capacity of our depth beer filters extends filter life, reducing maintenance frequency. This feature is critical for maintaining consistent water quality in large-scale brewing operations.
  • Clarify/Trap DE from Upstream Processes: Our trap filter beer solutions are designed to capture diatomaceous earth (DE) and other residues from upstream processes. These beer filter cartridges provide high-efficiency clarification, preventing clogging of downstream membrane filters. This enhances overall process efficiency and protects the integrity of the final product. The robust design ensures reliable performance under varying flow conditions.
  • Microbial and Particle Control for Compressed Air and CO2 Venting: The inline beer filters ensure microbial and particle control in compressed air and CO2 venting applications. These filters prevent contamination of beer during tank venting, maintaining product sterility. Their absolute-rated PTFE membranes guarantee consistent bacterial removal, even under high aerosol challenge levels. This feature is essential for maintaining a sterile environment during brewing.
  • Removal of Particulates and Microbes from Bottle Rinse Water: Our beer membrane filtration supply systems remove particulates and microbes from water used for bottle rinsing. This ensures that containers are free from contaminants before filling, reducing the risk of spoilage. It provides absolute-rated filtration for reliable microbial control. This feature supports compliance with stringent hygiene standards in commercial beer filtration solutions.
  • Microbial Stabilization Prior to Bottling: The beer membrane filters are designed for microbial stabilization before bottling, ensuring the removal of spoilage organisms. These filters are validated for complete bacterial retention, guaranteeing product safety and shelf stability. Their consistent performance supports high-quality beer production. This feature is critical for meeting regulatory and consumer expectations.

Industry-Wise Applications of Beer Filtration Solutions

Graver Technologies’ beer filtration solutions are designed to meet the diverse needs of the brewing industry, ensuring quality and efficiency across applications.

  • Craft Breweries: Craft breweries rely on beer membrane filtration systems to achieve clarity and microbial stability in small-batch production. These systems ensure consistent flavor profiles and prevent spoilage, meeting consumer expectations for high-quality craft beer. These beer filter cartridges are ideal for small-scale operations.
  • Large-Scale Commercial Breweries: Large breweries use commercial beer filtration solutions to handle high-volume production while maintaining product consistency. Inline beer filters ensure microbial control and particulate removal across large systems. This supports efficient, high-throughput brewing processes.
  • Bottling and Packaging Facilities: Beer brewing filters are critical in bottling facilities to ensure clean rinse water and microbial stabilization before packaging. The beer membrane filtration system remove contaminants, ensuring safe and high-quality bottled beer. This application enhances consumer trust and regulatory compliance.
  • Brewery Tank Venting Systems: Tank venting requires hydrophobic beer membrane filters to prevent microbial contamination during storage. These filters maintain sterile conditions, preserving beer quality during extended storage periods. They are essential for large-scale and craft breweries alike.
