Our Solutions for Bottled Water Filtration

At Graver Technologies, we offer a wide range of filtration products tailored to the unique needs of the bottled water industry. Our solutions include:

  • TefTEC™ V: These cartridge filters are made with a naturally hydrophobic PTFE membrane and polypropylene support. They offer better water resistance than standard polypropylene filters used for compressed air, making them a more cost-effective choice for utility and tank vent applications than other PTFE filters. These filters can also produce sterile air, as demonstrated by their ability to remove bacteria in a simulated test.
  • ZTEC™ WB: These cartridge filters use a TECpore polyethersulfone membrane to prevent beverage spoilage by consistently removing microorganisms and particles. The filters are highly efficient and durable, making them ideal for clarifying beer, wine, and bottled water. The TECpore PES membrane comes in 0.2, 0.45, and 0.65 μm pore sizes, ensuring product quality. Produced in a cleanroom, the cartridges are integrity-tested to guarantee consistent performance.
  • ZTEC™ SLWB Series Filter Cartridges (Serial layer Pleated Polyethersulfone (PES) Membrane): ZTEC SLWB cartridge filters use a dual-layer TECpore polyethersulfone membrane to prevent beverage spoilage by removing microorganisms and particles. These filters are highly efficient, long-lasting, and are used to clarify beer, wine, and bottled water. The TECpore PES membrane is available in 0.2, 0.45, and 0.65 μm pore sizes. The filters are manufactured in a cleanroom and are tested for integrity to ensure consistent performance.
  • Stratum®: These filters offer absolute retention ratings from 0.3 to 100 microns, delivering 99.9% efficiency for the Statum A and 90% efficiency for the Statum C at the stated micron. They have a multi-zone melt-blown depth structure with thermally bonded polypropylene fibers, ensuring high dirt-holding capacity and extended service life. They are constructed from 100% pure virgin polypropylene and are free of surfactants, binders, and adhesives.
  • Crystal MBF: This depth filter is an economical, melt-blown filter element made from 100% polypropylene. It is designed for use with a variety of process fluids due to its chemical compatibility. Its core, called the "Crystal Core," prevents the filter from collapsing, even at high temperatures. The filter has a graded pore structure that allows for a long service life and a high dirt-holding capacity. It is available in nominal ratings from 1 to 75 microns, does not shed, and is free of binders, adhesives, and surfactants.
  • MetSorb® HMRG: It is a high-performance granular adsorbent, engineered to efficiently remove arsenic (III & V), lead, mercury, cadmium, and other heavy metals from drinking water. Its titanium dioxide-based composition ensures rapid adsorption kinetics, achieving effective contaminant removal with minimal backwash requirements.

Key Features of Our Bottled Water Treatment

The following are some features of our bottled water treatment:

  • Comprehensive filtration solutions: Our total filtration solutions cover every stage of the bottling process, ensuring water is purified from the source to the bottle.
  • Advanced water filters for bottled water: We offer a range of water filters for bottled water that effectively remove contaminants, ensuring clean, safe water for every bottle.
  • Commercial bottled water filtration solutions: We also offer commercial bottled water filtration solutions that fit the specific needs of your production line.
  • Microbial control: Our filters for bottled water production, such as ZTEC™ WB, stabilize microbial levels, providing safe drinking water free from harmful bacteria.
  • Heavy metal reduction: Our filtration technology helps in the removal of heavy metals like lead and arsenic, offering superior protection and better water quality.
  • Taste and odor optimization: We use specialized adsorbents to eliminate unpleasant tastes and odors, enhancing the sensory experience for consumers.
  • Reliable filtration for bottled water production: We maintain high standards of water treatment in the bottling industry, helping meet regulatory requirements and customer expectations.

Applications of Bottled Water Filtration Solutions

The following are the applications of bottled water filtration solutions:

  • Bottled water industry: It is the primary beneficiary of our advanced filtration systems, ensuring high-quality, safe drinking water that meets all health and regulatory standards.
  • Food & beverages: Our filtration solutions are also used in other beverages, such as juices and soft drinks, where clean, pure water is essential for product quality.
  • Brewing and Distillation: Water quality is essential to the consistency and taste of brewing beer or distilling spirits. Our filtration solutions help remove chlorine, minerals, and organic compounds that could interfere with fermentation or distillation processes.
  • Juice and Dairy Production: Filtration is vital in the production of juices, smoothies, and dairy-based beverages, where water plays a significant role in both taste and product quality. Our commercial bottled water treatment solutions help remove impurities that could impact the flavor, color, and consistency of the product while ensuring microbiological safety.

Innovation Technologies for Bottle Water Production

The demand for bottled water continues to grow as consumers opt for healthier choices for their beverages and as an option to tap water due to the convenience, better taste, and perceived purity. Approximately a quarter of all bottled water comes from municipal supplies, with the rest coming from natural sources like springs and wells. Treatment processes will vary depending on the source as well the presence of organic and inorganic compounds. Graver Technologies can provide a range of innovative purification and filtration technologies to address trace contaminate removal to ensure that the water meets consumer expectations as well as quality and regulatory standards.
