Date Description
06/22/2005 Highly Effective, Low-Cost Adsorbent Removes Arsenic and Heavy Metals to Meet New EPA Drinking Water Standards

HydroGlobe™, a division of Graver Technologies, LLC, has announced availability of their patent-pending MetSorb™ HMRG (Heavy Metal Removal Granules) for adsorption of both Arsenic III and V, and a wide variety of heavy metals including lead, cadmium, antimony, uranium, mercury, and zinc from contaminated drinking water and process streams.Targeted for use in small systems for the whole house (point of entry), at the faucet and in pitchers (point of use), and in larger drinking water and remediation systems (point of service), MetSorb HMRG affords a higher capacity and a lower level of ion interference than competitive iron-based and alumina-based products. It also requires less frequent replacement, offers fast kinetics to work effectively at high flow rates, is listed under NSF Standard 61, and spent media will typically pass the EPA TCLP (Toxicity Characteristic Leach Procedure) for nonhazardous disposal of solid waste.

Typical applications include but are not limited to carbon blocks, cartridges for pitchers, faucet mounted and counter top devices, household point of entry treatment units, commercial and industrial treatment units for drinking or contaminated water, and municipal water treatment.
